RVING ON A BUDGET

Published by scothwarner at 10:02 pm under 1 Edit This

The best way to RV on a budget is to boondock (or dry camp).  There are a lot of places to boondock for long periods of time.  The BLM (Bureau of Land Management) are excellent places to do tis at or go on the internet and search for “freeboondockingareas”.  Also overnight boondocking can be done in some parking lots or rest areas and truck stops.l  These are usually cheap or free.  But it wouldn’t hurt to pruchase something from them as a form of appreciation.

Campground and resorts prices vary from region to region.  They also vary depending on the amenities you want; why pay for something you’re not going to use.

Another way to save money is to stay at least a week at one place.  They usually charge for 6 days and get 7th day free.  Monthly rates are pay for 28 days plus electricity.

Generally you get what you pay for.  To save more stay away from restuarants and eat at thome.  Try to stay out of campground stores, they are usually rather expensive.
