Visibility is a very important part of safe driving.  Remembering to maintain wiper blades can help with visibility, efficiency, and reliability.

Wiper blades deteriorate from the sun’s ultraviolet light, oil from car waxes, airborne debris such as wind, mud and dust carried by the wind, moisturize from acid and salt water.

Then there are mechanical problems to contend with such as;

-streaking caused by the rubber drying out and getting hard

-skipping caused from lack of use when the blade forms a curvature

-wear from excessive use

-splitting occurs when the suns ultraviolet rays cause the blade to break down and separate from the frames.

Follow theses steps to expand the life of our blades;

-clean windshield often

-gently wipe blade with squeegee with a damp paper towel to clean

-never use wipes to de-ice windshield

-pull wipers away from windshield during the winter to prevent ice from sticking

-replace blades yearly.
