Inspecting for leaks
Leaks can be caused by lots of things such as bad caulking on seams, windows with back weather stripping, and improperly caulked add on after market products.
To find leaks looking from the inside, look along the ceiling for stained spots. Check inside the cabinets for bubbly or loose wallpaper, warped cabinet walls, and bottoms.
Look for bubbly or peeling wallpaper under windows or stained curtains. This could mean the windows need caulking or weather stripping. Check to see if you can see space between the door and jams, then check the weather stripping. Walk the floor looking for soft spots. This could be a major problem that needs repair.
Then go to the outside and look from the rear to the front of the motor home for waviness, this is known as delaminating. If there is delaminating, this could be a very expensive fix.
So take your time and inspect the unit very carefully. Some can be fairly simple to fix, others very costly.
